View Full Version : Is Vizio guilty of false advertising?

I saw a Vizio commercial on TV today for the Vizio XVT Series LCD TV. In the commercial they claim, because of its 120Hz refresh rate, "every frame on a Vizio is crisp and clear". This must be an overstatement.

I just bought a Sony KDL-46W4100. Not the best, but a very respectable TV with a 120Hz refresh rate as well. My Sony would be most closely compared to the Vizio SV470XVT. On paper and based on the price, I believe most would consider the Sony a better TV than the Vizio.

That being said, I'm very satisfied with my Sony, but I do see some artifacts on occasion during quick paning shots or fast motion. I find it hard to believe Vizio has eliminated this entirely with at best their middle of the road line on TV's.

It's a subjective statement. Most commercials are filled with them...

The question is rhetorical. I'm simply pointing out that Vizio is making a false claim.
