The Optoma HD803 immediately comes to mind. The HD806 and the Infocus X10 are getting close as well. There aren't as many DLPs at the price point as LCDs, but it is a point that a lot of buyers have as a ceiling so we should see more projectors sneak under the $2000 mark soon.

Have LCDs always been less expensive than DLPs or is this new at the 1080p res?

Refurbs have been available from BenQ off and on the past few weeks for $1300! :eek: Haven't seen it new for under $2k yet though.

Hopefully by the time I'm in the market for 1080p about a year from now under $2k will be the norm and many can be had in the $1200-$1500 range too. Would really to see some DLP units fall into that range by then.
