I just purchased a Tivo HD to replace my Motorola DCH3416 (from cable company). I have a 1080p Samsung LN32A650. I noticed there were a whole bunch of video modes on Tivo HD to choose from

Native
Hybrid
Fixed

Fixed 1080i
Fixed 720p
Fixed 480p

Hybrid 1080i
Hybrid 720p

and various other modes to choose from.....

Which one do I pick??

PS -- Ahh crap wrong forum. Can a mod move this?

It depends on your TV and your personal preferences.

My TV is not wide screen format so I use Hybrid 720P because this makes my TV automatically switch to letter boxed 720P for HD channels and to full screen 480P for SD channels.

Just tryout the various modes and pick the one you like best
