Hey,
SO I have the PJTX100 projector. I need a mount for my false ceiling, so I was thinking of this one. It will hide the cables and all. Could you tell me if it would fit with my projector, if it would work with my ceiling, and if its sturdy and workable? Its a good price so I was leaning towards it. Thanks!!!!!

I need this setup before/on wed, so I am having fast delivery. Any advice is good advice.

Best practice is to use a mount that attaches to the real ceiling structure and extend a down pipe down through a ceiling tile.

While attaching it to a suspended ceiling structure may be sufficient to hold it up it may not be as rigid and any vibrations of the ceiling (think sub-woofers) will be magnified by the time the image reaches the screen.

I like chief mounts and the down-tube system which would be easy to stick through a hole in the tile. they should be able to tell you which adapter will mate with your projector.

That monoP mount may work just fine, I have no experience with them.

Does this one have a down pipe? its 650mm long, and I plan to connect it to my ceiling. How big is 650 mm?

Also, could you post the mounts you suggest?

25.6 inches. Yes that is a "down pipe".

You can look up recommendations for your projector on the Chief Mounts web site.

The Chief down tube is a standard plumbing pipe that you can get in several different lengths at HD. Just grab a can of spray paint to paint the required color.

You won't be able to beat that monoP mount price. And it may work just fine.

Thanks BIGm. I think I might go with the monoP mount. Anyone else have any input?
