I have an odd shaped room and their is really no easy way to add the side speakers for a 7.1 setup. I currently have towers in the front with the center on a stand and the rears on stands at about ear level when sitting down. I am switching to a 7.1 setup and I don't want to add two more stands on the sides, they would just be in the way. There is a wall on one side, but no wall on the other for another 12 ft or so. I was wondering if you guys know of a way to have a speaker lower from the ceiling during the movie via a motorized mechanism, then retract it when the viewing is over? A motorized cable system or telescoping pole?? Ideas?
