I'm also looking for opinions. I'm new to projectors, looking to spend $700-$800 willing to spend more like $1000 if its really worth it.

Right now I'm looking at the Sharp DT-510. I've looked through the thread on that projector and most posts are postive. Does anyone have any other suggestions in that price range (about $750)?

Want to use it with my PS3 for games/Blu-Ray movies.

Sanyo Z60 - $100 MIR till the 31st - can be had for under $750 after the rebate. Have had it a week and am loving it (20 hours so far). My 2nd PJ - 1st was the Panny 500.

You should be able to pick up quite a few models at that price range. In fact I have one for sale in classifieds that has served me very well for 6 months (mitsu HC1500). Forewarn any projector you buy will cause this need to want more and more, it only took 6 months and I purchased a 1080p and couldn't be happier :)

I am leaning toward Sharp Dt-510 or optoma hd65.
which do you guys think is best for me,
I have a dedicated theater with full light control.

bigbassman64 ,

The Sharp DT-510 will best the Optoma HD65 in all areas except over-all lumen output but since you have a dedicated HT with full light control you probably do not require those high lumen modes of th HD65 .

This is the same projector as the Sharp XV-Z3000, which is the next higher unit from Sharp (see www.sharpusa.com), and the Marantz VP4001.
These are highly rated projectors that list at a higher price. If you can get any of them close to the DT-510 price, it's a steal.
