i just got through watching batman begins on blu ray at my friends place and i already own the HD dvd one but to be honest it pretty much looked the same exactly couldnt find any parts where the blu ray was less or more sharp than the HD dvd.
list your opinions on which one you think is better or post some screenshots to compare

It is the same. Warner just ported the same encode over to Blu-ray. Cheap slackers.

I've got both, they look the same to me. The reason I also bought it on BD is because my HD copy freezes at the halfway mark. Sometimes I can skip a few scenes and finish the movie, but I miss the Tumbler chase and a few other important scenes.

+1. Same video and audio encodes which has been true for a vast majority of films that were released on HD30/BD50. The ones that were released on HD30/BD25 are another story.

Well I'll stick to my HD-DVD if the PQ is the same, it didn't need improvement it still looks amazing, I bought TDK on Blu-Ray and the PQ's great!
I don't double dip on my HD-DVD's unless there is a real difference and I can get the Blu version real cheap. Example, I got Transformers for $16.99, and then got the $10 rebate on top of that.

same here.... I bought the Blu version just in case my XA2 flips out and dies
no difference on pq or sq.... although I do like the BD live features for what it is worth
