Today Im ordering and would like to know what you guys think. Its between the optoma hd65 or epson home cinema 700. The optoma will be refurbished with a 6month and 90 day bulb warranty and the Epson 2 year and 90 day. Any input would be great my budget is 700.00. Thanks for your time again

After reading, how did you get to these two? Was it solely based on budget?
The Optoma will have the limitation of being something other than new, and therefore is a more unknown quantity (did you get a good one or not???).
The Epson does not have the typical placement flexibility that drives many toward the LCD projectors (to all, I'm not trying to start another LCD vs DLP war in saying that).
Do you need the placement flexibility of a different LCD? Do you have full light control, making something like the Sharp DT-510 an option? Again, what brought you to these two choices?

Well it mostly on budget but I did look into all other factors. I have an epson powerlite home 20 and its great for what it is. I just want to get a 720p because I have a ps3 and a xbox 360 with the hd attachment. The room Im going to set it up in is 13ft 9". I at least want a 110" screen or close to it. Diagonal of course. Light issue wont be a problem I mostly use it at night. Thanks and let me know what you think.

I have a Sharp DT-500 (quite similar to the DT-510), hooked up to a PS3 and it looks amazing. With night use, I think it would work very well for you, and it will easily throw a 110" diagonal in your room. About $750 plus 5% back thru the live cashback, buying thru TD.
Nothing particularly against either machine you mentioned, but I've seen a few posts on the refurb'd HD65 that would stop me from buying one. I actually like way the HC700 is configured, but if you are not going to need all of those lumens to fight ambient light then why not go for a higher image quality.

I'm not a big fan of refurbished either. I'm also not a huge fan of the Home Cinema 700 either, but at least it is new and you have the warranty. It is also still a really good projector, just not one of the "best in class". I'd take a Sharp DT-510 over either any day - if mounted at 13' it'll throw an image up to 132". With that in mind, I'd rate them in this order:
1. Sharp DT-510
2. Epson Home Cinema 700
3. Refurb Optoma HD65
If you could find a new HD65 I'd place it in a tie with the DT-510.

I agree with heynesker and nomad139. Since you have total light control, the Sharp would be a better overall projector. If you were in a non-light controlled enviornment, then the HC700 might be a better choice.
Either way, since you have the Home20 now, you would probably see about the same CR as you're used to if you went with the HC700. The DT-510 would be a big step up in CR.
