I have an Optoma HD65 and a Denon 1909 for my HT room. My HD antenna is connected throughout the house but I can't use it in the media room since I have no way to connect it to the receiver.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Brian
The Denon 1909 is audio hardware. It has no tuner for Digital TV (DTV), and you would not connect a TV antenna to it. The exception is using a TV antenna for FM radio reception. The Optima is a video projector, it also has no Digital TV tuner.
You need an HDTV source (DTV tuner, HD cable box, HD sat receiver) for your system. The source will have digital audio output to the Denon, and HD video to the Optima.
The antenna would connect to the DTV tuner, for local HDTV reception.
Thank you Ken. I was afraid you were going to say that.
