Here's what I'm looking at. I have an ECP 4100. I plan on running a few things through it but I am having a bit of difficulty trying to diagram a layout in my head.

I'd like to have a htpc involved as the video processor so that could pull the most out of this old pj. 1080i seems to be the concensus as to the best resolution this PJ will do. I'll upgrade sometime later to a pj that can resolve 1080p.

The input to the pj is rgbhv obviously, but what I'm stupmed on is how to intergrate a xbox 360, ps2, xbox for games that don't play on the 360, and the pc.

The 360 has hdmi out, the ps2 and xbox have component out, and for htpc, I'm thinking of going with an hdmi card. I'll be looking into an hdfury soon too.

Any ideas on how I can do this?

You're facing the problem that many of us are, because you're dealing with a lot of different sources. Simple answer is, you can't get everything you want done with one device, be it a scaler or an HTPC.

Here's some hookup ideas how to get it done:

Easiest way is to use a A/V Receiver as a switcher. Look for the newer models that will take mixed component and HDMI inputs and output everything over a single HDMI output to your ECP.

Make it very wife/kid friendly... just label the buttons "XBox360, PS2, XBox, PC, TV", etc... push one button and the video and audio switch to the selected source.

You can find Sony, Onkyo, Pioneer, Yamaha receivers that do this for ~$349.
