Have U-Verse being installed today. Want ot make sure all settings are correct, etc... Anything to watch for or tell the install to do / not to do?

I am adding U-Verse today also. In fact I am waiting from the call from the installer as I type. However I am moving to a new home and I wanted the U-Verse high speed internet. I was told I also have to add the TV service also but could cancel just the TV service after one month. Since I have had Dish Network for 8 1/2 years and I love it, I have no intention of keeping the U-Verse TV service.
