View Full Version : Multiple U-Verse boxes: Change IR codes so a single remote won't change all boxes??

I have 3 U-Verse boxes. However, I don't see a way to change IR codes so that all boxes don't all respond to a remote command.. IS there any menu item to allow each box to have its own discrete IR code?

I have all boxes in one room with IR emitters sending the signals, so if I send a remote command, all boxes get it... SSO changing the channel on one box changes the channel on all boxes.. I have the 3 boxes supplying 7 TVs.

Any suggestions. Can the Uverse boxes deal with this??

Thanks!

Nope....

All you can do is get a universal remote, set it up on 3 different codes and set up something to translate those codes to the individual STBs via a dedicated IR emitter. Not an inexpensive proposition.

Thanks.. After the U-Verse guy installed 3 boxes, confirmed the lack of discrete IR between boxes... I had him uninstall the whole thing and put my Comcast back in.

Thanks>
