Protron PD-DVR-100 Unit will not record but plays back a store purchased pre-recorded disk. I'm using a DVD+RW disk. Unit is set to source>Tuner>IRC. Pressed Scan and it scanned channels. When maually pressing record button, red record light flashs and I see picture on TV. When pressing stop button it says Post Processing and then "Failed to stop current recording". It appears the disk is empty. I've tried using Standand and TV inputs in setup menue. Have also tried putting cable box before DVR -100 and also box after DVR-100 using RF cables. Finally, I tried using composite input to unit with soures coming from my camcorder. Same problem, will not record. Same error message of "Failed to stop current recording". Unit will not record. Please help.

Protron PD-DVR-100 Unit seems to be very sensitive with respect to the media quality. I failed with Nextech NX DVD+R and Memorex DVD+RW, producing the same error message "Failed to stop current recording" when trying to complete a recording. I finally succeeded with Sony DVD+RW (10DPW47L2) and Sony DVD+R (10DPR47R4).
