I was not sure where to post this, but I am finishing a dedicated theater. I am running the cables now. I need about 31 feet or so to get the run where I want. I am running HDMI and component video cables through the ceiling to the outlet next to the projector. So my question is:

Is it better to have one cable - for example should I just run one 50 foot cable and leave it a little long on either end

OR

should I end all of the cables in boxes. That way I can run a 3 foot cord from the receiver to the outlet box, another cable in the ceiling to an outlet box on the ceiling, and the another short cable to the projector

SO

I have 3 cables with 2 connectors for exactly 33 feet
OR
1 50 foot cable

Any help appreciated - if this makes sense

See if you can find 10 meter cables they will be 32.8 ft. Avoid multiple connections, it can be source of signal degradation.

here is a 10M HDMI:

Thank you for the response, but I guess my question was not clear enough. Is one 50 foot cable better than 3 connected with jacks in the outlets? Do you lose signal strength or whatever when you put a connector in between?
