The DVD drive has started making indexing groans (very like the ones Panasonics make) and telling me that some +RW disks are unrecordable--but only on the last third or so--two hour-long titles record, then the last hour craps out and won't record, or if it has recorded, it won't or erase that last title. Same disks work fine in the other 3575, so it's the drive, not the disks. I also notice that this problem is accompanied by long waits to begin play of last title and jumping a minute or three into the file when it does start.

Is there a spindle-cleaning process of the sort that works with the Panasonics, or should I start researching a replacement burner? I don't recall anyone reporting this kind of issue with the 3575s yet.
