This dust from the drywall is everywhere in my house! My storage room in my basement is now covered and I am going to have to wash my exercise equipment before I can use it. I'm pretty sure my HVAC is pumping this crap through my house as well. Sorry for the rant, but this dust is killing me!

What about buying a few big box fans (probably $20 each) and some cheap furnace filters (similar) and taping the filters to the front of the fans, then putting them on full speed? Should suck a lot of dusty air in and trap the dust in the filters.

Put these by the doors to your drywall workrooms.

tape up your cold air returns wherever you are doing drywall sanding.
also look at getting the dust control mud, at home depot they have it with a purple lid on the bucket. Lastly, you can use a vacuum attachment for your sander, which will get rid of the dust where you create it :)

I just found one of these at Ace Hardware and it is the best thing ever. I thought it was just a gimmick and was skeptical, but it works really well actually.

I did the same thing. Just pay attention to your filter. The smaller particles jam it up quick. Not only do you lose suction, but you burn up the motor.

If you have windows, those little windows fans work great when you reverse em to blow outside
