Hello
I appreciate your time with such a greenhorn type question .
Ive read a lot online and on this forum but wish to clarify something.

I want a pack of -rw's (maybe other too) my recorder takes vers 1.1-1.2 2x , 4x.

It doesnt say 1x at all or 2x to 4x (it states 2x and 4x sepreately)...so on packages if its says 4x and thats it will it be okay? Does it need to say both or if the pack says 1x to 2x is that okay since mine says just 2x ? Can it be from low number to high number and what if it starts at 1x to 4x since mine says 2x will that not work.

I hope i am making sense...its the numerical specifics Im after I dont want to have a wasted package of discs.

I plan to by ty or verb' thank you :)

4x will be fine/2x will be fine. Anything up to 4x should be fine. Glad you plan to buy quality discs.

Thanks for info..I learned about quality discs here at this forum, thanks for that too!
I understand you to say then if it works for say 4x and its all it says in book it will still do 1-4x.

Hey where on packaging is this brand code thing? I know to look where its made but thats hard to find too, even on sites its hard to find codes and where from.

Also I assume its normal for these machines to get warm (pretty warm) during use?

Not crazy warm but I did lift it up on both sides like the old playstation 1's to allow for air circulation hopefully it'll live longer.
I have a toshiba dr560 (couldnt get an hdd unit the way I had to get it)
Thanks again!

:O)

Note that the spec for DVD-RW 4X discs is slightly different than the spec for DVD-RW 2X discs and some older standalone DVD recorders will not recognize the newer 4X spec'd DVD-RW discs.
