Hi all,
My wife and I wish to add a brick wall to our condo for aesthetic reasons, but I don't want to mess up any sound isolation. The wall in question is a common wall and we only want to do part of it. The current wall construction is 5/8 drywall - studs & insulation - 5/8 drywall - GG - 5/8 drywall - GG - 5/8 drywall. Our side has the triple drywall. Our ceiling is suspended on RSIC-1 isolation clips. Would building a brick wall flush against the current wall and leaving a gap between it and the ceiling be ok?
