I have in-walls in the back of my theater. I was thinking of painting them to match my mains. Paint the outsides in a faux wood and the grills black. Has anyone done this? If so, any pictures of how it turned out?

Well, I went ahead and painted my plain white in-walls. Three shades of brown, covered in gloss, and flat black for the grill.

I have to admit, most folks, including myself, look at in-wall speakers to "blend-in" and look "hidden", but what you did there look really nice! Especially with the closeness with the door. Nice job! I like it! :D
