Not sure if this is the right place to put this or not...

We bought a 32" LCD for our bed room. I have a 36" tube with a dish network DVR on the main floor. I want to get HD to the bedroom 32". (which is on the upper level of a 2 story house). I'll probably have DISH come out and upgrade the DVR to an dual tuner HD DVR...but how best to get the HD signal to the bedroom? Is coax the only way to get a long distance run from main floor to upstairs? (Probably going outside the house to do it). To make matters worse...the TV will me mounted on an inside wall.

I'm leaning towards putting the HDDVR in the bedroom and running coax down to the tube TV on main level. Since the TV will be all mounted...I have no idea where to put the DVR though.

anyway, anyone have any experience with long runs of cable and HD?

The signal between the dish and receiver is carried over RG6 regardless if it's HD or SD. You will need to have the HD DVR installed at the location of the HD set then use the 2nd tuner SD output to go to your older tube set. I believe Dish can backfeed that signal over the coax running from the dish up to the HD DVR location.

Thanks. thats what I figured. So a dual HD tuner doesnt really do you any good for 2 TV's if they arent sitting next to each other then...
