View Full Version : Buzzing on 111Fd slumpey326 02-02-09, 01:50 PM I am about to get this tv, is the buzzing really that noticable. VidPro 02-02-09, 01:54 PM Seems to depend on the unit. The 111 I have I can't hear a thing except when I plant my head behind the TV. I have a replacement coming for the unit for other issues and buzzing is not my fear but a dreaded dead pixel. slumpey326 02-02-09, 01:55 PM does the 111fd display 1080p/24 correctly. Is there anyway to check ROMAN O 02-02-09, 02:18 PM 111FD's buzzing are not common at all from what I have seen or at least the reports of it being not acceptable. slumpey326 02-02-09, 02:20 PM thanks roman for the clarification tbird8450 02-02-09, 02:41 PM It's not noticeable at all on my 111 unless I get up close to the set. slumpey326 02-02-09, 03:03 PM how close, I am going to be watching from about 6-7 ft away. Is that too close for the 50in ROMAN O 02-02-09, 03:04 PM how close, I am going to be watching from about 6-7 ft away. Is that too close for the 50in Its all about your preference and that wont be a problem :) oknish 02-02-09, 10:46 PM how close, I am going to be watching from about 6-7 ft away. Is that too close for the 50in I watch my 111FD from about 6 feet and it looks perfect. And, no buzz. Dovetails 02-02-09, 11:17 PM how close, I am going to be watching from about 6-7 ft away. Is that too close for the 50in slumpey, I can't even hear a buzz from my 111 when I put my head next to it or behind it. ;) Fanaticalism 02-02-09, 11:37 PM The 111's are just about the only display atm to properly display 1080/24. The other plasmas available either do not have 3:3 pulldown, or have a poorly impemented option. If judder is really undesirable, the Elites offer "Smooth" mode, which is somewhat similar to the interpolation found in some of the more popular LCD's, except it uses a repeated frame, as opposed to an artifically created one. Some Elite owners do utilize this option, with desriable results, although I will say, that they would be considered "in the minority". |
