My sofa is 10 feet's from TV. Because I am going to use blu-ray i want your opinion what is better for me to buy a 32"lcd with 1366x768 or 42"plasma with 1024x768. Will blu-ray videos shows good enough on 1024 resolution , will be like lcd on 1366? I now the best is full HD but I have limited budged. Please help me

At 10 feet, the bigger the better. 50" would be ideal, but maybe you could snag a 50'' 720 for cheap. What is your budget on the TV?

Yes I now the bigger the better but the most important thing for me is the picture quality on bluray videos on 1366 lcd and 1024 plasma ?

I would say it would look better on the plasma. At 10ft, 480p would look as good as 1080p. Now at 3-5ft, that's a different story.

What is your Budget?

It is not about budget it's about the market choice. I am from Macedonia and here the choice of models are small. For example :
32" SONY BRAVIA LCD 600 $
42" Panasonic plasma 800$
800$ is my limit. But I can't find a full HD for that price here. Full HD displays are from 1000$ >

I'd go with the 42" plasma, but I am a plasma supporter. If you go ask this in the LCD forums, they would say LCD.

Go to the store and check them both out. If the 32" LCD's picture quality does not beat the 42' Plasma, get the plasma.

Don't know bout Macedonia but 42" Panasonic for sure would be the best choice. It would be way too small for me and at 10 feet, look like an ipod; ipod touch at least.

You can find 50" plasmas for $899 without a problem online. Maybe even a 50" Vizio for $799. Online order and then ship it. Hell, I'd do whatever I'd have to, to get the 50" at your distance. Oh and all, if not most, of 50" plasmas are 1366x768, in the 720p category anyways.

The Panasonic is the best choice for you.

agreed, an $800 budget can easily get you a quality 50" 720p set(panny/sammy/vizio). At 10 ft viewing distance, you'll definately regret a 32", and possibly even a 42".

If price is an issue, go plasma.
