I have my htpc going to my 52"xbr4 and to my 22" Acer monitor. The monitor currently is connected with a 15 foot 24awg dvi cable, but I want to extend this by about 10 more feet. My question is, should I purchase a 25 foot cable of the same quality, or would I be ok getting a male/female extension (of 28awg quality) for the 10 extra feet?

My concern is that by going with the extension (which is cheaper) I will have issues with degregation...or do I just not know what I'm talking about? :)

either solution would work fine for the short run. Ideally it's best to use as fewer interconnect as possible. btw I have 50ft 28awg for video (projector) and it's perfectly fine.
