Anybody tried using the Copy to VCR option to a DVD recorder instead. According to SA's website you can't do it with the 8000 box, but it doesn't mention the 8300. I don't need high quality recordings, it's just kids shows off Nick Jr. I'd hate to buy a recorder & find out it won't work. Thanks in advance for an answer.

I was looking in the wrong forum category. The answer appears to be yes you can use the copy to vcr function to copy to a dvd recorder instead, with more details posted in the HDTV Recorders forum.
