I apologize if this has been discussed in other threads, but I searched the archives and found nothing.

My Panasonic ES15 and ES20 recorders stopped being able to automatically set the clock by tuning into my local PBS station a couple of months ago. I think it might have something to do with the digital transition, but I'm not sure.

Is there anything that can be done to automatically set the clock at this point? I check Panasonic's site for firmware updates and this problem isn't included in any fixes.

Thanks!!

Aside from contacting your local PBS station and asking about the loss of their embedded time stamp data, all you can really do is find another station broadcasting time information.

To follow that up, are there any known cable channels that transmit that information? I tried all my locals yesterday as well as The Weather Channel and WGN with no luck. I can't find anything online about which channels include the information.

Thanks!

Same with me...my 2 Pioneers stopped time syncing in Dec. (S.F. bay area)
Now I sync with my WWV alarm clock every few weeks.
a pain...but it works.

In my city in the Southeast, my local FOX analog channel is sending the time signal. PBS is also but it's on EST and I'm on CST, so their time signal is now apparently linked to their HQ in Virginia... it used to be in local time?
