Anybody using this recorder overseas? I am in Japan so the TVGOS feature is of no use and a hindrance.
Even though I upgraded to the 'latest' firmware (V1.1) on the RD-XS55 I still have a problem where manually scheduled recordings are missed. A day will go by where it will hit all scheduled recordings then there are days when it misses half of them. I tried leaving the recorder on rather than turning it off, setting reminders, or resetting the recordings daily but no good.
Also how do you delete or hide all the garbage channels it picks up from local TV? In TVGOS there is no listings of any channels so I can't hide them. Right now I have only five good channels but I have to scroll through 20 other garbage channels to get to them.
