Some sources are saying that the demo won't be available until 5pm in the states, so I'd check back tonight.

Guys, you'll be able to download the demo when the store gets updated or when you get an email saying that it's available for download.

i was worried about code not working too but then realized that the store is not updated yet. Once its updated, code should work.

If I were to reserve a copy now would I still get a code? Are codes still available?

Does gamestop.com email them still if you preorder through them? I just placed a preorder a few hours ago online and haven't recieved one.

They send them 'within' 48 hours. I had an issue last time I pre-ordered from them online for the COD:WaW beta - code didn't work.

The store I just went to on lunch still had codes on hand.

Save yourselves the headache, guys!! Just download from the EU store. No codes or anything to worry about. It's been up on their store for hours already. Downloaded mine at 9am (pacific time).

Nevermind codes, or other crap.

HOW IS THE DEMO? Is it worth the trouble to open a Euro acct on PSN just to download it? How long is it?

Nevermind codes, or other crap.

HOW IS THE DEMO? Is it worth the trouble to open a Euro acct on PSN just to download it? How long is it?Yes. And it's really not hard to open an EU account (less than 5 mins). Just create a new user, say you're from the EU, input a user name and valid email, input a bunch of junk characters for the other crap, and you're done. Demo's pretty short, but fun to replay, and definitely worth it if you're at all interested in or excited about this game.

Here's my thoughts on the demo posted in the demo thread:Well, the demo definitely destroyed any remaining skepticism I had about this game. Fantastic stuff.

Controls: The controls do feel a bit weird, not off, just "weird." I switched the control scheme to "alternate 2" so I could zoom with L1 and melee with R3. I also messed with the sensitivity a bit, but I think I've realized that in this game sensitivity is best kept to a minimum (that's what she said). I think it's designed to be a bit more "solid" feeling. Everything just fits together much better that way (the reloads, the cover system, the movement). Control-wise, it actually reminds me more of Gears than CoD. The main character Sev feels "solid" and "heavy" the way Marcus does.

Graphics: The big star is not the usual texture detail stuff. It's all of the almost imperceptible details and touches in lighting, particle effects, shading tech, etc. This game is all about details. It might look like a typical current-gen FPS, but once you start looking around and paying close attention, you see all kinds of incredible details.

Physics: This is the really technical centerpiece IMO. In my handful of playthroughs of the demo, everything reacted and moved in a believable way. I've gotten used to the really exaggerated physics of most Havok engine games, but Killzone 2 shows that it doesn't have to be all cartoony, high flying antics (though there is still some during the explosions). Lots of subtle touches as well as some fantastic, dramatic animation flourishes. I've been having lots of fun with the physics, shooting objects out of the way to get a good line on a headshot.

AI: Hard to tell from the demo how the AI holds up overall. Not enough situations so far. But I am impressed on how enemies will try to flank sneakily using cover. They also seem aware of your location in a reasonable way. Friendly AI has done some stupid ****, though, in the demo. Typical Gears-like running balls out toward a group of three enemies without cover.

Can't wait to see how multiplayer goes!
