I didn't see a thread on it over here. I played it and liked it. I thought it was pretty scary and that the graphics and gameplay were decent.

Wow- i thought the demo was way more entertaining than RE5. At least there were real horror elements in this

Horrible? I love the demo. I thought it was one of the better demos I've ever played to be honest and I plan to pick it up even with KZ2 coming out.

I didn't like the RE5 demo either.

Both F.E.A.R. games had me jumping. Sad to say I couldn't play through the whole demo. There's something about a small child appearing and disappearing with the surround sound. I'll agree I like the gameplay especially the slow motion but I'll probably never buy this game. I can play through Resident Evil games with no problem but F.E.A.R. is another story.

I couldn't get past the part where the ghost keeps attacking me.

I enjoyed it up until then :o

Just shoot at it everytime the ghost shows up. It's a ghost, you won't hurt him but he'll vanish so keep running away and shooting at it till you get to the door and he won't bother you anymore.
Every free secs you have, turn around and turn back to the right direction for few scares lol :D

I liked this more than RE5, but overall it was just okay.

The bouncey-bouncey view kind of did in FEAR2 for me. Makes me seasick. But I agree that it had more atmosphere than the RE5 demo and considerably better controls. (The whole RE series has klutzy controls IMO.)

F.E.A.R. games are scary.. AHHHHH.... I played the first one, and I think an expansion or something... I'll probably play this one too.

After playing the demo, I was sold. I started to look for deals on the game, and I found a SWEET deal. Brand new for $35.96!

glad i'm not the only one. do not want.

edit:

re5 is lame, also. where is the gore? capcom needs to make a call to george a. romero, imo.

here's the deal- a zombie game without dismemberments is epic failure.

Fear 2 UK review is up at ign.com

They gave a 8.5/10

IGN confuses me.

It seems harsh to judge such a competent, consistently enjoyable title on over-familiarity and there’s certainly no arguing that Project Origin is an excellent, albeit, old-school shooter. It’s 2009 though and, from the game’s well-worn jolts right through to environments consistently drawn from the big book of FPS clichés

Multiplayer is solid and entertaining if largely unspectacular.

visually its a little too generic to be especially spectacular.

How does that = 8.5?

Once installed, this demo spent approximately three and a half minutes on my PS3....which is about a minute longer than RE5.

Bleccchh!

I'm not a fan of this game, but you gotta recognize and give props to creative advertising campaigns:

CAT-VERTIZING. These little buggers ran all over London on launch day.

I downloaded the PS3 and PC versions but still have not played them, maybe this weekend.

I looked for the game at the video store yesterday because I liked the demo enough to rent, but not buy. I appreciate that they're trying to add an extra element to a pretty stale FPS market. The horror element made me take my time, and be more aware of my surroundings, as opposed to gunning my way through a level regardless of the environment. I know a lot of people will disagree, but I had more fun with this demo than the KZ one :o

Personally, I'm finding Bioshock on Survivor difficulty way scarier than FEAR or the FEAR2 demo.
