I just want to pass along an experiment I did to remove tubes and glass from mounting hardware. I had a tube with a cracked glass and need to replace it. What I did was took a donor tube and drained the glycol out, then I sprayed brake cleaner in the coolant chamber filling it up and let it sit for day, The Brake cleaner broke down the glue holding the glass and tube to the hardware. With little effort the glass and tube came off the mounting harware. If any one is intrested I have about 6 glasses for NEC P16 hardware that I cleanely removed...just remember to remove any rubbber that you don't want to ruin..
