I currently have a Outlaw LFM-1 Compact in my system. My space is not that big, but was wondering. If I add an ED A2-300 to my setup would it play nice. I believe that the ED is capable of going lower than the Outlaw. Also the ED would fit under the end table. I was wanting to get a Oppo BDP-83, but was wandering if adding another sub, and getting a cheaper stand alone Blu-ray would not be spending my money more wisely. Just trying to make the most difference to my system with the money spent. I have a PS3, but would really like to have stand alone. I don't have any SACD's or DVD-A's. I only have a lot of DVD's, and around 20 Blu-ray's. I stream from my MAC to the PS3 with Nullmedia. So back to it. Is the ED A2-300 a step up from the Outlaw LFM-1 Compact? Also would adding a second sub, and a cheaper stand alone be spending my money more wisely. I should be able to get both for the price of the Oppo BDP-83

Thanks just looking for some moral support. I feel like I am torn between two lovers as the song says. :D:D

Dazed & confused. :confused::confused:

Also do I just get a y cable, and connect it to my receiver, and then connect both subs to it. Also I am thinking of putting one sub on the front wall and the other located on the back wall in opposite corner. That is really my only location options. Will that be kinda ok. I know it depends on the room. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Is the ED A2-300 a step up from the Outlaw LFM-1 Compact?

I would be interested in knowing the comparison of these two subs. I would unfortunately only get to pick one over the other...

Well the Outlaw is really good. Just looking at being able to get a little lower. Just wandering if they will compliment each other, or not?

The eD will most probably surpass the LFM-1 Compact in terms of output because of the bigger woofer size and enclosurer. Sound quality would be the subjective thing between the two.

I thought about adding a second compact. That would give me more even spl through out the room, but I don't think it would help me get any deeper bass. I was hoping to keep the Compact up front in the right hand corner of my room, and put the ED under the end table beside my couch in the rear left hand corner. That would help even out the spl, and I hope give me more of feeling the bass in my gut.

You would really be better off running dual same model subwoofers.

No chance of selling your LFM-1 Compact?

Well the ED A2-300 will not fit up front in my room. So having two of the ED's will not work for me. If I could I would.

If you can place the A2 300 nearfield, (within 4 feet of your listening position), you can very likely make the combination work. You want impact, nearfield gives impact.

HSU often recommends placing its subs right behind your couch or chair with the driver facing the couch. Works well for lots of folks.

It would be right next to my listening position. Definitely within 4 ft. I was hoping the LFM-1 Compact would act like the HSU MBM. That way the ED and Outlaw would work together.
