The basement in my house was partially finished by previous owners (see layout). They put in a guest bedroom with bath/shower (to the right) and a basic living area at the bottom of the stairs (upper center, walkout). The open area at the bottom of the stairs is now used as a workout room.
The area to the left and bottom in the drawing are currently unfinished. The powder room and any dividing walls would be new.

The media area to the left side will have a fixed 90"x38.3" 2.35:1 AT SMX screen with LCR speakers behind. This would usually be hidden by an electronically operated roller-shade curtain. Components would be in cabinet to left. 46" LCD flat screen rises up in front of the screen from cabinet with lift.

Currently think about the rough layout rather than specific finishes, etc.

I already own all of the speakers, amps, projector, etc.. Would need to purchase flat panel lift (several options these days).
