Considering the fact that you like to watch movies near reference level, you'll need all of the subwoofer you can get. I'd say at minimum go for the Plus.

You guys are a bad influence on my savings account!Would the difference from the PLUS to the ULTRA be like the NSD to the PLUS,or... not even close.

Yes, there will be a big difference, especially you like to listen at very loud level.

I'll be the voice of reason and say that the PB12-Plus (newest version) would be the one you want. It will offer 90% (throwing a random guess) of the performance because it is vastly improved, and is sort of like the Ultra young brother. Your room isn't large at all, and it should be more than enough.

In that size room, I believe you would be happy with the NSD and very happy with the Plus. People don't consider the cost of GST/PST in Canada. Every $100 is really $113 to $115 after taxes. The Plus is $720 more than the NSD. Add taxes and that can be an $813 difference. So, if you can bump up to the Ultra, fine, but the Plus will be a very satisfying choice. If you contact SonicBoom, and if the SB people are like the SVS people, I think they will tell you the same thing.

I notice that SonicBoom has a home page that says they have revamped their site, but they still show the Plus/2. when you click the link, it says 'product not found'. Maybe they should revamp again.

I like voices of reason!LOL. I`m leaning towards the PLUS because eventually there is a line that needs to be drawn........and I believe across the other side of that line is the PB13 ULTRA!!!Thanks for help guys.
