I'm at a loss in trying to find out why my Pioneer Elite 49TX w/i-link upgrade receiver won't play any digital signal at all. I can get analog from my Denon 3800 BDCi....and that's the only sound I get from it.
I have several digital inputs connected to it. I checked and the inputs are assigned correctly. I cycled through the signal select button on the remote and it works fine, it will find the digital signal but just won't output sound. I turned off multi-channel and made sure listening channel is set correctly.
I even turned everything off and tried to redo my auto acoustic calibration settings and it wouldn't work because no sound is generated from the speakers.
A few times I just turned my system off and turned it back on the next day and it worked. It seems whenever I play a BD from my Denon and then switch inputs to any digital source I get no sound. If it works and THEN I select the Denon I get analog sound but when I switch back to any digital source it doesn't work. I have a digital coax cable coming out of the Denon and it won't give any sound....just the analog outs.
I'm no expert but it seems once analog is engaged it won't look for a digital signal. Any help in this regard would be so great. I at out of ideas. Thanks!
