Hello guys,

I'm planning on purchasing a Pioneer Elite 151 (60") plasma and likely this center channel speaker from Paradigm (CC690 http://www.paradigm.com/en/reference/speaker_only-specification-50-1-3-13.paradigm). It requires 10" of clearance.

I'd love to be able to slip this huge center speaker into an open rack so I can sit the 60" Pioneer plasma w/ it's matching stand on the top of the open rack. So I can avoid wall mounting my plasma. But so far I haven't found an open rack that can accomadate both.

So far it looks like if I want to buy these two items I'm going to have to wall mount the plasma if I want an open rack. That or look to another speaker brand with a "shorter" (in height) center (e.g. PSB Synchrony or KEF XQ). Unless some one here knows of a high quality stand I've overlooked.

I've checked BDI, Bell'o, Plateau...etc.

Btw. The top shelf would have to hold 135 pounds (Pioneer Elite 60" + it's stand).

Try the BDI Cielo, when I was looking for my stand i looked at that and it had 9 1/2 inches of clearance. I know you said 10, but paradigm states that it is 9 7/16 (9.43 inches) tall, so it should fit.

That is a kick-ass speaker by the way. I want to get the Cinema 330 series.

Thanks for the recommendation but how did you figure it has 9.5" clearance on it's adjustable shelf? I think there is only a little more than 15" of clearance total inside. So even if you could adjust the shelf for 9.5" that wouldn't leave much room for any other gear underneath. Most receivers are a little over 8". So you'd need at least 9" of clearance for that to. For a total of 18" and maybe 1/4" for the tempered glass shelf.

So, if I opt for the 60" Pioneer Elite (135 lbs w/ matching stand) then I can't go for the Bell'O stand I was thinking of. If I do go for this Bell'O stand then I would have to go for a 50 or 52" plasma or LCD. :P Kind of looks like I'm going to have to wall-mount the 60" as I do want that screen size.

Keep the suggestions coming guys! :)

i called BDI when I was looking for a stand and they gave me that dimension. Give them a call and see what they have.
