I went to future shop looking for the pioneer 560 ,and they are sold out. But I noticed the LG rh 398 with 250 gb hard drive .Are they any good?

If you look at the customer comments, this model seems to be a nightmare:

The Pioneer x60 models seem to be sold out all over Canada now. Either Pioneer is planning new model introductions sooner than usual, or the stores are blowing out inventory with the expectation of "thats all, folks" (no replacement models). So its a dicey time for anyone who wants a new Pioneer. About the only thing available now is refurbished Pio 460s thru Best Cost Electronique in Montreal: I have had a few of these shipped to USA, and they are good machines, same as the 560 minus the built-in GraceNote music title database. At roughly $250 they are a good bargain if you don't mind "open box" CostCo returns (which is what these are).

While Future Shop does indicate Pioneer HDD DVDRs as out of stock, bestbuy.ca still lists the 560 (http://www.bestbuy.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0926INGFS10105636&catid=20210) and the 660 (http://www.bestbuy.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0926INGFS10105639&catid=20210) as in stock. Who knows for how long, though?

I agree with the consensus expressed here about the LuckyGoldstar (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LG): Avoid it. I briefly had one about four years ago. Very briefly.
