So I received and hooked up my Mirage Prestige S8 Subwoofer from Vann's. The only problem now is that my remote isn't working to tell my RX-V1000 receiver that I have a sub now! In my previous/current setup, I wasn't using a subwoofer, so when I hook up the sub, it doesn't receive a signal. The remote has had this problem sporadically, but it was never an issue because I could do the basic functions with my cable box remote (which is universal). It was working fine this weekend, but of course, now it isn't.

I've changed the batteries and pressed the reset on the back about a hundred times for 1-10 seconds. If anyone knows of a workaround (other than buying a new remote) for this, I would greatly appreciate it!
