(Newbie alert)

I just purchased an Accoustech Bic H100 subwoofer for my downstairs rec room theater. The place that I'd like to have a sub is about 20 feet away from my stereo but running the cable will mean going up into the ceiling before coming out of the wall on the other side.

Will I have any problems using a 50' cable to connect my sub? I've read some about sub cables having interference and wasn't sure if this was effected by length or just being in proximity to other power sources and such like outlets.

Had in mind something like this:

Any thoughts? Thanks!

This is what happens when you don't do enough searching on the forums first

I was just reading that I might be able to use regular coax cable and purchase RCA wall plates. I actually have a roll of coax in my garage.

Maybe that would be the best route to go for in wall application?

That's exactly what I did and it worked out perfectly.

Quad Shield RG6 is not needed. It is inconveniently stiff compared to RG59 and for these signals and distance the difference is not significant.
