View Full Version : Infinity Entra Sub - Cutting In and Out

I have an Infinity Entra subwoofer connected to my AV receiver, and just recently it has started cutting in and out. When it cuts out the LED on the SW turns red. I can either unplug the unit's power for a few seconds or just wait awhile and the LED will turn green and the subwoofer resumes working. This issue occurs at all volume levels.

It doesn't seem to be a cable or receiver issue, but I'm not sure how to address the problem. It is quite annoying, and before I take a screwdriver to the subwoofer I wanted to see if anyone had input on what the cause and solution to my problem might be.

Still no resolution. Does anyone have any advice/ideas for my problem?

Since you have ruled out AVR and cable problems, that only leaves the subwoofer amp as the culprit. It could be the input connector or the amp circuitry ... time to decide if the sub is worth saving.

I was afraid of that. I contacted an authorized repair center near me at they have an up front $75 evaluation fee, and they told me that typically repairs range betwee $100-$150. Not sure if I want to spend $150 to repair, but I wouldn't mind getting my hands on a service manual to see if I can take care of the issue myself.

Does anyone have access to a service manual for the Infinity Entra Sub?
