Hi All

I was given an HLR 5064WX, the lamp light on the front bezel flashes on and off right after you plug the TV in. The on/off switch doesn't do anything and the blue back panel switch doesn't do anything either. You just hear a faint click coming from the power supply board an a few green LED's come on, and thats it. A new bulb had been put in and still a no go. I did check and found 325v going to the ballast. I don't see any burn marks or visible signs of distress. I just don't want to buy a ballast and find it not to be the solution.
Any help would be great.

I read some posts that the colour wheel should be the first to start...but there is not any life signs there...also none of the fans come on and no clicking at the light bulb...

Funny enough I have the same problem with my HLS-5066WX, I was watching tv one night, heard a pop then smelled something weird coming from the back of the tv :eek:, I tried to restart the tv and it would attempt to fire up but shut back off after 30 seconds then would flash all 3 lights on the front, I tried changing the lamp but that didnt change anything :mad:
