I started getting a split screen when viewing the video input that my recorder is connected to. Switched inputs but got the same split screen. It also records with the split screen. Any ideas on how to correct this problem?

I would guess that somehow the output has been switched to 480p, rather than 480i. Try resetting it and see if that fixes the problem.

When you say split screen are you describing a picture-in-picture effect or double vision? Double vision would occur if the E80 was set to 480P and displaying video on an old analog TV. If that is the case, as previously suggested, change the setting to 480i and 4x3 TV. Then, when affordable, purchase an LCD to take full advantage of the E80.
