Has anyone rigged up an assembly using a wall-mount bracket behind their flat panel, and attaching center-channel mount to secure a speaker ABOVE the panel?

I plan to stand-mount my TV, but simply want my small center channel (12lbs) mounted on top of the TV. Below the TV will not work. My TV will be in a corner of the room, so there is no wall available behind it.

Looking for ideas for a clean, secure install. Thank you in advance!

Seeing how I work in metal, I would go to home depot or some place similar and by some flat 1/8th in strap steel.

I would fabricate it (Cut to length, slotted holes for speaker mount) and somehow fasten one end to the TV/TV Wall mount and the speaker to the other end.
