Here is my current setup.

I have a Sony HT-SS2300 receiver.

Pioneer DV-410V-K DVD player connected to the receiver via HDMI
ATT Uverse connected to the reciever via HDMI
Sony KDL-46Z4100 connected to the reciever via HDMI.

I have noticed a few times when I turn on the TV that the audio and video is off (normal TV watching, not DVD yet). I believe by power cycling or chaning the channel resolves this. This happens sometimes, I could not tell you at the moment what was turned on first or what order.

I noticed it again last night when I through in a Van Halen concert DVD. I tried to powercycle the tv and dvd player, but nothing. I made sure all settings were correct, like virtual surround was turned off, etc. I power cycled the receiver, and I think it fixed it. I say think because maybe it was me just being paranoid but it seemed like in certain spots it was still doing it, but it might have just been me. The power cycle of the receiver seemd to fix it.

With everything hooked up the way it is via HDMI, should I be turning things on in a certain order? Are there settings I need to set specifically? This is a 5.1 surround sound system.
