I was originally looking at some A-Bus Setup, but after reading it seems they are way under powered. All i'm really trying to achieve is a single source with 4 or 5 zones. I plan on using a computer as the audio source with itunes. As for controls, I will be using Apple remote with an iphone and ipod touch to control the itunes library remotely. The only equipment I have at the moment is the computer, so I need everything else. If I plan on only doing 5 zones will i get away with just using an receiver and the 2 channels out? Or will I need to buy a whole house amp? I'm looking to do this on the cheap and although I appreciate great quality audio, for this initial setup it's just not in the cards. Any recommendations are perfect even generic suggestions for what to look for on ebay.
