I'm looking for opinions of this speaker. Does anyone own them, or have you heard them? I'm thinking of these for surrounds, C-50 bookshelfs in front, and a C-C50 center channel. This is for a 100% home theater setup. Would this be a nice budget setup for a 12' X 17' room? Thanks.
That's a pretty big room, I'd get the C-100's for fronts instead of the smaller C-50.

The C-R100 will match up well but I don't own them. I have two pairs of C-100s.

Thanks afrogt. I thought about the C-100 for the fronts. I thought that the C-50's would be big enough since it's for 100% home theater use. Maybe I'm wrong. If I did use them for the fronts, would I need to get the larger center speaker to match? I want to mount the fronts on the wall though. I think they're both rear ported, so I would need to use a bracket, correct?

I have read of people using the c-c50 with c-100's as l/r, but the consensus seems to be the C-C100 will match a little better, but all of the C series are supposed to match ok. I have C-100's in front with a C-C100 and two c-50 in the back. The C-C100 is BIG and I could only afford it refurbed from klipsch on ebay. In retrospect, I suspect the c-c50 would have worked ok with the c-100's. But, it can't hurt to go as big as your room and wallet allow.
Love the C-100's and C-50's, (have 4 more c-100's for music upstairs) and am also curious about the c-r100's.
About mounting, the c-100's come with port plugs for mounting near a wall.
The C-50 and C-100 bookshelf speakers use the same wall mount bracket. Both have a 3/8" 16 thread hole in the back. The mount comes in black or white.

There should be foam port plugs included with the speakers, mine came with them.
The C-100 really isn't a big bookself, its only 11" tall. You can still use the C-C50 as a center channel. The C-C100 center is rather large and quite a bit more money, if you can find one.

Someone out there must own the C-R100 bipole. afrogt, what do you mean by the "foam port plugs?" What are they for? I looked at the pic of the macromount, but am confused how it mounts. Is there one part that mounts on the wall and one part on the speaker? Can anyone recommend any other cheaper mount that would work with the C-100? Thanks.

Using the threaded hole you should be able to fashion your own mount if you are somewhat of a DIYer.
I saw on another thread that you purchased the C-R100's, can you please post your impressions when you receive them?

Yes I will. I just can't figure out how to make a mount that will swivel.
