I've saved about 40 hours of non-HD programs on my 8300. Tonight, when I flipped on the TV, it says "No Shows Saved." If I try to record something new either directly from "live" programming or from the guide, I get an error message saying that I am out of storage. It gives me the option of pressing A to eliminate some shows to free up room -- if I do so, I then get the message that I haven't saved any shows. The box works fine as a cable converter.
I'm a Time-Warner customer in Manhattan (New York City). I can't get a technician to come until Monday, but I also have the option of lugging the DVR to a TWC center and swaping it.
My questions:
1. Has anyone else encountered this problem?
2. Is there any chance at all that the saved shows can be resuscitated (this would be the only reason to wait for a technician call)?
3. Is there anything I can try? (Obviously, hard reboots haven't worked).
Thanks,
Clammy
