I figure I'll ask this here too. Same question posed over at curt's site.

Ok, so I've gone and gotten my self a vga breakout cable to use on the pj. Got it all hooked up with a quick convergence.

Here is my question

I can send 800x600 into this no problem whatsoever. Anything higher than that and it dooesn't seem like it wants to stabilize and the menus are scrambled. The convergence goes out of whack as well.

What do you think is the deal?

Buy a BNC 'T' connector and combine the H and V sync cables and plug them into composite sync input right below the 'B' input. Common issue with the ECP, no one has ever been able to explain why.

Ok, well I had the forethought to get a T connector when I got the Breakout cable. Connected the h and v sync together and plugged into the h sync/comp input.

Still the same deal. Shifts the image off to the left, darkens, and the menus are scrambled. Am I missing something?

Manually set the v-hold and h-hold, I just had the same problem , sometimes I had to do a little v hold then a little h hold at a time then suddenly it comes in. Also check that the switches on the back of the one card are in the correct position, this will cause dim output. When you hit the # key are the lines big and thick or normal looking? Do you get a band of junk accros the screen when you hit any on screen displays? If they look wrong the switches I mentioned are set wrong.

That is exactly what it comes up looking like. garbled lines where the menu would be across the screen.

Fixed, thank you very much.

What fixed the problem? I'm new to these as well and am trying to find out as much info as possible
