Okay so my living room is pretty small. It is 12 x 10.5 feet and there are openings everywhere. For the most part I used to have an entertainment center...thread used to be up with pictures but yeah its gone cuz the websapce is gone. Anyway back to the subject at hand. I just remodeled and removed it so now I'm thinking of a new way to set everything up. At the same time I'm trying to get rid of my queen sized futon which was my main seating for the past few years. Trying to get away from the college feel. The problem is...the wall I'm putting the seating on...has a giant opening about 72" wide. I tried to put plans into demolishing the wall to make the opening 120" wide...but didn't get enough consensus on it not being a load bearing wall (again another story for another time). So now I'm down to getting a modular seating setup with essentially a love seat, chaise, and ottoman which I can rearrange based on the occasion. Or I found this lovely setup at the local clearance outlet.

$699...it's a store called Bel Furniture in Houston, TX. I don't know if its a phenomenal find...but it was supposedly marked down from $1900. I'm still new to buying hometheater furniture so I thought to make a post here about it.
Here is a floorplan / mock up of what I wanted if I went with the modular seating. The ottoman can be used as extra seating to block off the opening and as a coffee table if it isn't being used for seating. I planned on using the futon or maybe those hometheater recliners in the adjacent room on risers as a second row of seating. Preferably the futon since I won't have enough money for two sets of new seating. Also the futon would be nice for guests to sleep on.

Don't mind the two rectangles in the adjacent room behind the seating. I was just placing where I could put my desk if I wanted a desk in that room. This place is just a small 1.5 / 1 condo. Also I guess people in the second room won't get the benefit of surround sound. Okay enough rambling...time to await for opinions...
