It has a "marketplace"
That inlcudes videos, movies, tv shows. trailers
Games, demo/trial/beta
Arcade and Orginal and XNA games.

Google around for the MCE Browser, it's getting hard to find for some reason. Then find one of the tutorials on Youtube for setting it up. It's a little tricky and if you don't have one of the Xbox keyboards entering text takes awhile to learn. But you CAN browse the net after setting it all up.

Yeah, I meant surf the net (from the Xbox). Like if there was a homepage you could go to and then surf from there.

I found the MCE Browser, but apparently it only works with Windows Media Center? Is this true? I only have XP, is there anyway to get it to work with XP?

Oops, I forgot about that part as I have been running Vista for awhile now. I know the wife's XP Home with SP2 works alright with it. There is a Media Center download available on the net to add to XP, but that would be another Google search. When I was still running XP I had to find it for installing a few things. So what you want is quite doable, it will just take time.

no, you need XP Media Center Edition, and you'll have to re-install the operating system on your computer.

vista home premium and vista ultimate will work as well.

There is no such thing.
Not legally.

Media Center isn't like Media Player; its (like Tablet PC) a variant OS release instead of a separate app. If they released it separately they'd probably get sued right away.

Well, I've been reading this thread and decided to try the MCE browser. I had a copy of Vista so I installed it and then installed the MCE browser. Awesome!!! A little clunky but it gets the job done. I will play with it more tonight. May need to upgrade RAM on my PC soon though.

the beta is (officially) closed... however, you can find the ISO all over the web, and out of all the keys they handed out, only 15 or so were "unique" (meaning, everyone is using the same keys), a google search will definitely point you in the right direction
