Sending your receiver in for a repair kinda sucks,
I sent my pioneer in today to "edward service",'they say it can take up to 15 days depends how busy they are. I'm gonna go crazy with out sound, anyone know were i cant rent a receiver for two or three weeks if possible? I all ready miss it lol. what are your story's when you have to take your receiver in for repair and what do to watch your movies or listen to music?

maybe a rent a center or a pawn shop?
I remember when (1970's 80) independent Hi FI stores sometimes (remember them?) lent equipment when something was getting a warranty repair?
I've messed up two amps in the past, both times I made significant upgrades becuase they were un-repairable. The last time I was only out of luck 1 day. And I happened on a open box deal, on sale, PLUS no manual, so they discounted the item even further!
It was a 600 dollar Kenwood HT unit I got for a little over 300.
If it ever goes out I have 2 spare (2.0) untis in the garage, both I actually got out of trash piles until I get a new processor.
Plus, I no longer move wires while the stuff is powered up!!!!!

and

Now I have an Emotiva Amp with a 5 year warranty, so I'm good.

The good news is that,my receiver was still under warranty haha.
But,I'm using one from my brother he had a extra one. :P
He's older unit is a pioneer 815k! It sounds "okay",not as good my pioneer elite. but hey,at lease i have sound again until i get my other one back from repair shop. :D
