Hey guys,
I am going to be purchasing my first real audio setup (I know enough to get into trouble) vand I have been researching vigorously but I stumpled upon some stuff that I couldn't really get a clear answer on.
For reference I am buying an entry level Klipsch setup that I have demo'ed a few times now and it seems it will do everything I need it to do.
RB-10 x 2
RS-10 x 2
RC-10
RPW-10
I've yet to decide on an AVR because I'm not sure how future proof I want to make myself and for what I do I'd hate to buy something loaded with features I'll never use. Right now I just have an hdmi dvd player, to be replaced with Bluray at somepoint.
Anyway, what I'm wondering about is the hookup of the speakers. The way I originally pictured everything was each speaker wired into the AVR and the subwoofer via RCA. I stumpled on folks hooking speakers up to the subwoofer and just wiring the sub to the AVR itself.
Is this the way it should be done or is it simply an alternative method?
